Job Overview
The Network Planning Analyst will support the design, optimization, and expansion of Glo’s radio access network (RAN) in Sierra Leone. Working closely with engineering, operations, and commercial teams, the analyst will evaluate network performance data, forecast capacity needs, and develop strategic plans to enhance coverage and service quality. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze network performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain radio network models to support capacity planning.
- Collaborate with field engineers to design site layouts and antenna configurations.
- Prepare detailed rollout plans for new sites and network upgrades.
- Conduct feasibility studies for emerging technologies such as 5G and IoT.
- Produce regular reports for senior management on network health and investment requirements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality guidelines.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in network planning tools (e.g., Atoll, Planet, TEMS).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of LTE, 4G, and emerging 5G technologies.
- Ability to interpret RF engineering data and translate it into actionable plans.
- Familiarity with Sierra Leone’s telecom regulatory environment.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in RF planning or network optimization are considered an asset.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in telecom network planning, optimization, or a similar role within a mobile operator or consulting firm. Experience with network rollout projects in West Africa is highly desirable.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 1,200,000 to SSP 2,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based incentives and benefits.
