Job Overview

The Curriculum Development Specialist will design, develop, and implement high‑quality curriculum resources aligned with international standards and local educational priorities. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive needs analyses to identify curriculum gaps across primary and secondary education.
• Develop curriculum frameworks, lesson plans, and assessment tools that reflect best practices and cultural relevance.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, teachers, and Ministry of Education officials to ensure alignment with national standards.
• Produce digital and print learning resources, including teacher guides, student workbooks, and multimedia content.
• Pilot and evaluate curriculum pilots, gathering feedback to refine materials before wide‑scale rollout.
• Provide technical support and training to educators on effective curriculum implementation.
• Monitor and report on the impact of curriculum interventions, using data to inform continuous improvement.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in curriculum design, instructional design, and pedagogy.
• Excellent research, analytical, and report‑writing abilities.
• Proficiency in using e‑learning authoring tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education

A Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Instructional Technology, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates with additional certifications in project management or adult learning are highly regarded.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of three to five years of proven experience in curriculum development, preferably within a multicultural or international context. Experience working with NGOs, government agencies, or educational institutions in West Africa is an advantage.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive annual salary ranging from SSP 1,200,000 to SSP 1,800,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based incentives and allowances aligned with local standards.
