Job Overview

The Cloud Solutions Architect will design, develop, and implement end‑to‑end cloud architectures for enterprise clients in Sierra Leone and the broader West African region. Reporting to the Head of Cloud Services, you will work closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to translate business requirements into robust, cost‑effective cloud solutions that leverage Huawei’s cloud platform, hybrid environments, and emerging technologies such as AI and IoT. You will also act as a technical advisor, guiding customers through migration, optimization, and security best practices, ensuring successful project delivery and long‑term client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, and high‑performance cloud architectures tailored to client business objectives.
• Lead technical workshops and proof‑of‑concept demonstrations for prospective and existing customers.
• Collaborate with sales teams to develop solution proposals, cost estimates, and implementation roadmaps.
• Provide guidance on cloud migration strategies, including assessment, planning, and execution.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, data protection regulations, and Huawei security frameworks.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives within the Cloud Services department.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and competitive offerings to maintain a leading edge in the market.

Required Skills

• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (Huawei Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
• Strong understanding of networking, storage, and security architectures.
• Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and micro‑services design.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑centric mindset.
• Effective communication skills for presenting complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Candidates holding a master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Huawei Cloud Certified Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF) will be given preference.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing cloud solutions for enterprise customers. Salary
