Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Consultant to join our team in Kambia, Sierra Leone. The successful candidate will work closely with our local partners to develop and implement sustainable development projects that promote environmental conservation and community engagement.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field, and will be able to communicate effectively with local stakeholders, government officials, and international partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainable development projects that promote environmental conservation and community engagement
  • Work closely with local partners to identify and address environmental challenges
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform project design and implementation
  • Communicate effectively with local stakeholders, government officials, and international partners
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress and impact
  • Required Skills
  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in environmental sustainability or a related field
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Fluency in English and local languages
  • Education

    The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in a related field is an asset.

    Experience

    The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in environmental sustainability or a related field, with a strong background in project management, research, and analysis.

    Salary

    The salary for this position is 50,000 – 70,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
