Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geophysics Research Scientist to join our team in Kambia, Sierra Leone. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geophysical surveys and research in support of our projects in Sierra Leone.
The role will involve working closely with our local partners and stakeholders to design and implement geophysical surveys, collect and analyse data, and provide recommendations for future research and development.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Geophysics and at least 5 years of experience in geophysical research and surveying. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement geophysical surveys in support of our projects in Sierra Leone
- Collect and analyse geophysical data, and provide recommendations for future research and development
- Work closely with our local partners and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Contribute to the development of our research and development strategy in Sierra Leone
- Provide training and support to local staff and partners in geophysical surveying and data analysis
Required Skills
- Ph.D. in Geophysics or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in geophysical research and surveying
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with geophysical surveying equipment and software

Salary
The salary for this role is 60,000 – 90,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
