Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forestry Specialist to join our team in Kambia, Sierra Leone. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry and conservation efforts. This will include the use of geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, and other digital technologies to monitor and manage forest resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement digital solutions to support forestry and conservation efforts
  • Use GIS and remote sensing technologies to monitor and manage forest resources
  • Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to develop and implement conservation plans
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform conservation decisions
  • Develop and maintain databases and other digital tools to support conservation efforts

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in digital forestry or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of GIS and remote sensing technologies
  • Experience with database management and digital tool development
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
