Job Overview
The Academic Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and monitoring academic programs within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and update program curricula in collaboration with faculty to ensure relevance and compliance with accreditation standards.
- Coordinate the scheduling of courses, allocation of classroom resources, and management of program timetables.
- Monitor student enrollment trends, retention rates, and graduation outcomes, providing analytical reports to senior leadership.
- Facilitate the accreditation process, preparing documentation, and liaising with regulatory bodies such as the Sierra Leone Ministry of Education.
- Manage program budgets, including forecasting, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
- Organize faculty workshops, seminars, and professional development sessions to enhance teaching quality.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students regarding program requirements, academic advising, and grievance resolution.
- Collaborate with external partners, NGOs, and industry stakeholders to create internship and experiential learning opportunities.
