We are seeking a highly skilled Geological Data Analyst to join our team in Kambia, Sierra Leone. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting geological data to support our research and advisory activities.
Job Overview
The Geological Data Analyst will work closely with our team of geologists, geochemists, and other experts to collect and analyze geological data from various sources, including field observations, laboratory analyses, and remote sensing data. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Developing and implementing data management systems to ensure the accuracy and integrity of geological data
Analyzing and interpreting geological data to support research and advisory activities
Collaborating with other team members to develop and implement research projects and programs
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze geological data from various sources, including field observations, laboratory analyses, and remote sensing data
- Develop and implement data management systems to ensure the accuracy and integrity of geological data
- Analyze and interpret geological data to support research and advisory activities
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement research projects and programs
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Geology or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in geological data analysis and interpretation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in data management and analysis software, including ArcGIS and Excel
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Geology or a related field, with a strong background in geological data analysis and interpretation. A Ph.D. in Geology or a related field is an asset.
Experience
The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in geological data analysis and interpretation, with a strong background in data management and analysis software, including ArcGIS and Excel.
Salary
The salary for this position is 400,000 – 600,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
