Job Overview
The Production Quality Assurance Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all beer products meet Heineken’s stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols for raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products.
- Conduct regular audits of production lines, equipment, and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO 9001, and local food safety regulations.
- Analyze laboratory data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate quality deviations.
- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and R&D teams to optimize brewing processes and reduce waste.
- Lead root‑cause investigations for product complaints and non‑conformities, documenting findings and preventive measures.
- Prepare detailed quality reports and present insights to senior management for strategic decision‑making.
- Train production staff on quality standards, sampling techniques, and proper documentation procedures.
- Maintain calibration records for all analytical instruments and ensure timely maintenance.
- Support new product launches by establishing validation protocols and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing evidence of continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and ISO 9001.
- Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, spectrophotometry, and microbiological testing.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) tools.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or HACCP Practitioner are advantageous.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of experience in quality assurance within the beverage, food, or related manufacturing sector. Experience with brewery operations, laboratory management, and regulatory compliance is highly preferred.
Salary
The competitive salary range for this role is SSP 1,500,000 to SSP 2,500,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
