Job Overview
The Audit Senior will lead audit engagements for a portfolio of clients spanning banking, manufacturing, telecommunications, and the public sector. Reporting to the Audit Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing audit assignments, ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and local regulatory requirements. You will work closely with senior partners, providing insights that help clients improve financial reporting, risk management, and internal controls. Key Responsibilities
- Lead audit engagements from planning through reporting, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop detailed audit plans, risk assessments, and materiality thresholds tailored to each client’s industry and operational context.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance on audit procedures, documentation, and professional development.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and client stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement in financial reporting and internal controls.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, including tax and advisory, to deliver integrated solutions that address client needs holistically.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging risks affecting the Sierra Leonean market.
- Maintain comprehensive audit documentation in accordance with KPMG’s knowledge management system.
- Assist in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client relationship building.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in audit software (e.g., KPMG Clara, IDEA) and advanced Excel functions.

Education
A recognized Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA are highly preferred and will be considered a strong differentiator during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five to seven years of progressive audit experience, preferably within a Big Four environment or a reputable local audit firm. Experience auditing clients in sectors such as banking, manufacturing, telecommunications, or government entities is advantageous.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 3,500,000 per month, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and performance. In addition to the base salary, a performance‑based bonus structure is available, reflecting the firm’s commitment to rewarding excellence.
