Job Overview
The Brand Activation Manager will lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of integrated brand activation campaigns that resonate with Sierra Leonean consumers. Reporting to the Regional Marketing Director, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including sales, trade, digital, and insights, to ensure brand consistency and market relevance. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 12‑month activation calendars aligned with brand objectives and market trends.
- Lead the creation of experiential events, sampling programs, and community initiatives that strengthen brand‑consumer connections.
- Manage agency relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee production of creative assets.
- Collaborate with sales to ensure activation plans translate into retail shelf impact and sell‑through.
- Monitor campaign performance using KPIs such as reach, engagement, and incremental sales, providing actionable insights for optimization.
- Ensure all activations comply with Diageo’s responsible drinking policies and local regulations.
- Prepare detailed post‑event reports and present findings to senior leadership.
Required Skills
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate insights into compelling activation concepts.
- Excellent project management skills, capable of handling multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial tracking, and ROI analysis.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Creative flair combined with a data‑driven mindset.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages (Krio, Mende) is a plus.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in brand management, digital marketing, or project management are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of five years’ experience in brand activation, experiential marketing, or trade marketing within the fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. Proven track record of delivering successful campaigns that drive brand awareness and sales growth in emerging markets is essential.
Salary
The annual compensation package ranges from SSP 1,500,000 to SSP 2,500,000, commensurate with experience and performance. The package includes a performance‑based bonus structure, health insurance, and retirement benefits.
