Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ecotourism Development Manager to lead our ecotourism initiatives in Sierra Leone. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement ecotourism strategies and plans that align with WWF’s conservation goals and objectives
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify ecotourism opportunities and potential markets
  • Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and private sector stakeholders to develop and promote ecotourism products and services
  • Design and implement ecotourism products and services that promote sustainable tourism practices and support local economic development
  • Provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to local communities and ecotourism operators

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Environmental Studies, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in ecotourism development, conservation, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable tourism practices and ecotourism principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Environmental Studies, or a related field.

Experience

5 years of experience in ecotourism development, conservation, or a related field.

Salary

The salary range for this position is 5,000,000 – 10,000,000 SSP per annum.
