Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Policy Analyst to join our team in Maforki, Sierra Leone. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing environmental policies that support our conservation efforts.
The Environmental Policy Analyst will work closely with our conservation team to identify and analyze environmental policy issues, develop policy recommendations, and engage with government officials, stakeholders, and local communities to promote sustainable development.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental policy and conservation principles, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental policies that support conservation efforts
- Conduct policy analysis and research to inform conservation decisions
- Engage with government officials, stakeholders, and local communities to promote sustainable development
- Collaborate with conservation team to identify and address environmental policy issues
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Policy or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in environmental policy or conservation
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy or a related field. A Ph.D. in Environmental Policy or a related field is an asset.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in environmental policy or conservation. Experience working in a developing country context is an asset.
Salary
The salary for this position is 50,000 – 70,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
