Job Overview
The Field Service Engineer will serve as the frontline technical expert for John Deere’s agricultural equipment deployed across Tonkolili and surrounding districts. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing a diverse portfolio of tractors, combine harvesters, and precision farming devices, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime for customers. Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of John Deere tractors, harvesters, and precision equipment at customer sites.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Execute repairs and part replacements efficiently, adhering to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Provide on‑site training to farmers and dealer technicians on equipment operation, maintenance best practices, and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to support pre‑sale equipment demonstrations and technical consultations.
- Maintain accurate service records, generate detailed reports, and update the company’s CRM system with service activities.
- Manage spare parts inventory, order required components, and ensure timely availability for service calls.
- Participate in field trials and feedback sessions to inform product development and local adaptation.
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands‑on experience in diesel engines, hydraulics, and electronic control systems.

Education

Experience
