Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Extension Officer to join our team in Koidu, Sierra Leone. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to smallholder farmers, promoting best practices in agricultural production, and improving the overall productivity and livelihoods of farmers in our program.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to smallholder farmers on best practices in agricultural production, including crop management, soil conservation, and integrated pest management.
• Promote the use of improved agricultural technologies and practices among smallholder farmers.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops for farmers on agricultural production and marketing.
• Collaborate with other stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector companies, to promote agricultural development in Sierra Leone.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Extension, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in agricultural extension or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural production systems, including crop management, soil conservation, and integrated pest management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
