Job Overview

The Agricultural Supply Chain Manager will lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations for Olam’s Koidu agricultural portfolio. Responsibilities include coordinating procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality produce to both local and international markets. The role requires strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with Olam’s sustainability goals and market demand.
  • Manage procurement processes, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Oversee inventory control, forecasting, and demand planning to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Coordinate transportation and logistics, including road, rail, and port operations, to guarantee on‑time delivery.
  • Collaborate with farming cooperatives to improve yield quality, traceability, and farmer income.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports for senior management.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams in continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the supply chain.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of agricultural commodities and export regulations.
  • Leadership experience with multicultural teams.
  • Effective communication in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.

Education

A relevant bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or a master’s degree in agribusiness or supply chain management are highly desirable.

Experience

Applicants must have at least five years of progressive experience in agricultural supply chain management, preferably within West Africa. Experience with commodity trading, logistics coordination, and farmer outreach programs will be considered a strong asset.

Salary

The competitive salary range for this position is SSP 1,200,000 to SSP 2,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
