Job Overview

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager will design, implement, and monitor comprehensive CSR strategies that align with Koidu Limited’s business objectives and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs, the role will serve as the primary liaison between the company, local communities, government agencies, and non‑governmental organizations. The manager will be responsible for ensuring that all CSR activities are measurable, impactful, and communicated effectively to internal and external audiences. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a multi‑year CSR roadmap that supports community development, environmental protection, and economic empowerment.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement initiatives, including community consultations, government liaison, and partnership building with NGOs.
  • Design and manage flagship programs in education, health, water & sanitation, and livelihood diversification.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on CSR performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and impact assessment tools.
  • Prepare annual CSR reports and ensure compliance with international standards such as GRI, ISO 26000, and ICMM guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to create compelling narratives and digital content that highlight CSR achievements.
  • Manage the CSR budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and transparent financial reporting.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on emerging CSR trends, regulatory changes, and risk mitigation.

Required Skills

  • Strong project management abilities with a proven track record of delivering large‑scale community programs.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of building trust with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data collection, impact measurement, and report writing.
  • Deep understanding of mining‑related social and environmental issues in West Africa.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with Operations, Legal, Finance, and HR departments.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages (Krio, Mende, or Temne) is an advantage.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CSR‑CP (Corporate Social Responsibility – Certified Professional) are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in CSR, sustainability, or community development within the mining or extractive industries. Demonstrated success in leading multi‑stakeholder projects and delivering measurable social impact is essential.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 3,500,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and allowances may also be offered.
