Job Overview
The Data Center Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of IBM’s new Koidu data center, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security of all infrastructure components. This position is pivotal in maintaining service level agreements, managing a skilled technical team, and coordinating with cross‑functional stakeholders to align operational practices with IBM’s global standards. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of data center operations, including power, cooling, networking, and security systems.
- Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures, and best practices in line with IBM’s global standards.
- Monitor performance metrics, conduct capacity planning, and implement scalability strategies to meet growing demand.
- Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, providing coaching, performance reviews, and professional development.
- Coordinate with IBM’s global service delivery teams to ensure seamless integration of services and rapid incident resolution.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
- Implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans, conducting regular drills and audits.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, operational procedures, and incident reports.
- Drive sustainability initiatives by optimizing energy consumption and adopting green technologies.
Required Skills
- Deep knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and environmental controls.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools, automation platforms, and ITIL frameworks.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on mentorship and talent development.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to make data‑driven decisions under pressure.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as Cisco CCNP, VMware VCP, or ITIL Expert are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in data center operations, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Experience working in a multinational technology environment and familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure) will strengthen your application.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 4,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and performance. In addition to the base salary, IBM offers performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a comprehensive retirement plan.
