Job Overview:Our team in Sierra Leone is seeking an experienced Environmental Conservation Manager to lead our conservation efforts in the country. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing conservation strategies, working with local communities, and collaborating with government agencies and other stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful contribution to the conservation of Sierra Leone’s natural resources.

- Develop and implement conservation strategies to protect and restore natural habitats and ecosystems
- Work with local communities to promote sustainable land-use practices and conservation efforts
- Collaborate with government agencies and other stakeholders to advance conservation goals
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of conservation programs and make recommendations for improvement
- Develop and manage budgets and resources to support conservation efforts
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in conservation management or a related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful conservation strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances

Working Environment:The Nature Conservancy is a global organization with a presence in over 70 countries. The successful candidate will be based in Koidu, Sierra Leone, and will be required to travel regularly to project sites and meetings.
