Job Overview
The Industrial Robotics Engineer will design, develop, and implement robotic systems and automation solutions for GE’s manufacturing lines in Pujehun. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including mechanical designers, software developers, and production managers, to optimize robotic integration, improve throughput, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Design and program industrial robotic cells for assembly, welding, material handling, and inspection processes.
- Develop and test control algorithms, motion paths, and safety interlocks using PLCs and robot programming languages.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate sensors, vision systems, and end‑effectors.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost‑benefit analyses, and ROI assessments for automation projects.
- Provide on‑site support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of robotic equipment.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and maintenance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with international safety standards (ISO 10218, ANSI/RIA) and GE’s internal safety protocols.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians on robotics best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in robot programming languages such as RAPID, KRL, or FANUC.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley) and industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, Profinet).
- Experience with CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing robotic workcells.
- Understanding of vision systems, sensors, and AI‑based quality inspection.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a closely related field is required. Advanced certifications in robotics, automation, or PLC programming are highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience designing, programming, and deploying industrial robotic systems in a manufacturing environment. Experience in the power or renewable energy sector is a plus, as is prior exposure to GE’s engineering standards.
Salary
The competitive salary range for this role is 2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and benefits are included.
