Job Overview
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enhancing quality control processes that safeguard product integrity from raw material receipt through final distribution. You will collaborate closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to conduct audits, investigate deviations, and drive corrective actions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP plans, SOPs, and quality manuals specific to the Kissy manufacturing site.
- Conduct routine inspections and sampling of raw materials, in‑process goods, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications.
- Lead internal and external audits, prepare audit reports, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with relevant departments.
- Analyze quality data, generate trend reports, and recommend process improvements to reduce variability and waste.
- Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to ensure new products meet quality standards before launch.
- Provide training and mentorship to production staff on quality best practices, hygiene, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic quality management systems, ensuring traceability and regulatory readiness.
- Respond promptly to consumer complaints, conduct root‑cause investigations, and implement effective resolutions.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, ISO 22000, HACCP, and GMP principles.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and quality software (e.g., Minitab, SAP QM).
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
- Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and training delivery.

Education
The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline. Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or HACCP Practitioner are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
A minimum of three to five years of hands‑on experience in quality assurance or quality control within a food and beverage manufacturing setting is required. Prior experience with multinational food companies and familiarity with both local Sierra Leonean food regulations and international standards will be viewed favorably.
Salary
