Job Overview

The Retail Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of the new Shoprite store in Kailahun, ensuring seamless execution of all retail functions, from inventory management to customer service excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and local labor laws.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
  • Manage inventory control processes, including stock replenishment, shrinkage reduction, and supplier coordination.
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate a team of department managers and frontline staff, fostering a culture of high performance and customer focus.
  • Analyze performance metrics and generate reports to inform strategic decisions and operational improvements.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to execute promotional campaigns and in‑store events that drive foot traffic.
  • Ensure optimal store layout, visual merchandising, and product placement to enhance shopper experience.
  • Handle customer escalations and resolve complaints promptly to maintain brand reputation.
  • Collaborate with the finance department on budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and community stakeholders.

Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in retail operations, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing a multi‑department store. Experience in emerging markets or within the West African retail sector is highly valued.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 3,500,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the remuneration structure.
