Job Overview
The Solar Energy Sales Manager will lead the sales strategy for solar solutions across Kailahun and surrounding districts, targeting commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan to achieve annual revenue targets for solar projects in Kailahun and neighboring regions.
- Identify, qualify, and nurture leads from commercial, industrial, agricultural, and institutional sectors, converting prospects into signed contracts.
- Conduct market analysis to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in renewable energy within Sierra Leone.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and financial models that demonstrate the value proposition of solar solutions.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contract conditions while ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and finance teams to ensure seamless project execution from proposal to commissioning.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance dashboards using CRM tools.
- Represent Enen Green Power at industry conferences, trade shows, and community events to enhance brand visibility and generate new business opportunities.
- Build and sustain relationships with government officials, utility companies, NGOs, and financing institutions to facilitate project approvals and funding.
- Provide regular feedback to senior leadership on market dynamics, customer insights, and competitive threats.
Required Skills
- Proven track record of at least five years in B2B sales within the renewable energy or related technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of solar photovoltaic systems, financing models, and regulatory frameworks in Sierra Leone.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior decision‑makers.
- Strategic mindset combined with hands‑on execution capability.
- Ability to analyze complex data, develop financial models, and articulate ROI to diverse audiences.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Krio is an advantage.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Renewable Energy, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in sales, renewable energy, or project finance are considered a strong plus.
Experience
Minimum five years of experience in sales or business development within the renewable energy sector, preferably with a focus on solar solutions. Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, or large corporate clients in Sierra Leone or the broader West African market is highly desirable.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 1,500,000 to SSP 2,500,000 per month, commensurate with experience and performance. In addition to the base salary, a competitive commission structure and performance bonuses are offered.
