Job Overview

The Corporate Treasury Manager will lead the treasury function for Standard Chartered’s Koidu branch, overseeing cash management, liquidity planning, foreign exchange risk mitigation, and funding strategies. Reporting to the Regional Treasury Head, the incumbent will collaborate with business units to optimize capital allocation, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the bank’s profitability goals. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement treasury policies, procedures, and controls aligned with global standards and local regulations.
• Manage daily cash positioning, forecasting, and liquidity to ensure optimal fund availability.
• Execute foreign exchange and interest rate hedging strategies to protect the bank’s earnings.
• Coordinate with corporate clients to provide tailored treasury solutions, including cash pooling and supply chain financing.
• Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and economic indicators that impact treasury operations.
• Prepare comprehensive treasury reports for senior management, regulators, and auditors.
• Lead a small team of treasury analysts, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.
• Collaborate with risk management, finance, and credit departments to ensure integrated risk assessment.
• Oversee the management of banking relationships, negotiating terms for credit facilities and investment accounts.
• Drive process improvements through automation and adoption of treasury management systems.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with proficiency in financial modeling.
• In-depth knowledge of cash management, FX, money markets, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop junior staff.
• Advanced proficiency in treasury software (e.g., Kyriba, Reval) and MS Excel.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in reporting.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strategic thinking with a focus on risk mitigation and value creation.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of five to seven years of progressive experience in corporate treasury, cash management, or related financial functions within a banking or multinational corporate environment. Prior exposure to the African market, particularly in mining or natural resources sectors, will be viewed favorably.

Salary

The compensation package is competitive and commensurate with experience, ranging from SSP 3,500,000 to SSP 5,000,000 per annum. The package includes performance-based bonuses, health insurance, pension contributions, and other statutory benefits.
