Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Microfinance Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our branch operations in Makeni. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise daily operations of microfinance branches within the assigned region.
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans to expand the loan portfolio safely.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including portfolio at risk and repayment rates.
- Conduct regular branch audits to verify compliance with operational policies.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management to branch staff.
- Collaborate with risk management teams to mitigate operational and credit risks.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities with decentralized teams.
- In-depth knowledge of microfinance methodologies and credit risk assessment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills.
- Outstanding communication skills, with fluency in English and local languages.
- Proficiency in microfinance management information systems (MIS).
Education
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
Experience
A minimum of five years of progressive experience in microfinance operations or banking is required, with at least three years in a managerial role. Experience in Sierra Leone Jobs is highly valued.
