Job Overview

Sierra Leone Job Search is proud to announce the availability of a Digital Agriculture Specialist position at Cargill in Kenema, Sierra Leone. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital agriculture solutions to improve the efficiency and productivity of Cargill’s agricultural operations in Sierra Leone.

The Digital Agriculture Specialist will work closely with farmers, agronomists, and other stakeholders to design and implement digital solutions that improve crop yields, reduce costs, and enhance the overall sustainability of agricultural practices.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join a leading international company and contribute to the development of Sierra Leone’s agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement digital agriculture solutions to improve the efficiency and productivity of Cargill’s agricultural operations in Sierra Leone.
  • Work closely with farmers, agronomists, and other stakeholders to design and implement digital solutions that improve crop yields, reduce costs, and enhance the overall sustainability of agricultural practices.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for digital innovation in agriculture and develop business cases to support investment in new technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement digital agriculture strategies that align with Cargill’s business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, suppliers, and government agencies.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in digital agriculture or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing digital agriculture solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural practices and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience

At least 5 years of experience in digital agriculture or a related field.
