Job Overview

The Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer will join the Engineering & Production department at Lockheed Martin’s Koinadugu facility. This position is responsible for overseeing the end‑to‑end manufacturing processes of aerospace components, ensuring compliance with stringent quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace components, including machining, assembly, and inspection.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new product designs and provide feedback on design for manufacturing (DFM) considerations.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
• Maintain compliance with international aerospace standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer‑specific requirements.
• Lead root‑cause analysis investigations for non‑conformances and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
• Prepare detailed process documentation, work instructions, and training materials for production staff.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports for senior management.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
• Strong knowledge of aerospace material properties, tolerances, and inspection techniques.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Effective communication skills for interfacing with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Leadership experience in guiding production teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Education

Salary
