Job Overview
IFAD is seeking an Agricultural Extension Services Manager to lead the implementation of its agricultural extension services program in Sierra Leone. The program aims to improve the productivity and incomes of smallholder farmers by providing them with access to improved agricultural technologies, markets, and financial services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of extension agents and working closely with farmers, farmer organizations, and other stakeholders to design and implement extension services that meet the needs of smallholder farmers.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of IFAD’s agricultural extension services program in Sierra Leone
- Manage a team of extension agents and provide technical guidance and support
- Work closely with farmers, farmer organizations, and other stakeholders to design and implement extension services
- Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation system to track the impact of the program
- Collaborate with other IFAD projects and programs to ensure coordination and synergy
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in agriculture, agricultural extension, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in agricultural extension services
- Proven experience in managing teams and working with farmers and farmer organizations
- Strong technical knowledge of agricultural extension services and smallholder farming systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
